Visual artist who now at 68 years of age reflects on his career and work that has taken him to different parts of the world in search of the aesthetic, the human, the landscape and the spontaneous.
His deep concern for the human has led him to investigate warlike conflicts, peace, religions and the nature of the human being to survive in a world that is ruled by power, patriarchy, and the colonial dominance in America. , of which Gaal is extremely interested in bringing about change through his work.
He studied Film Making at New York University (certified); since 1982 he has exhibited in NYC, Barcelona, Honduras, Mexico City and Guadalajara. Among his most outstanding individual exhibitions are Amen (November 2013) at the Cabañas Cultural Institute under the curatorship of Carlos Ashida in the city of Guadalajara and Timeless (April 2013) at the Diéresis Gallery, in Guadalajara under the curatorship of Jose Dávila.
